Next up in the interview series is Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew. If you don't know who she is, and you like quilts, then you must be living in a special information void. Just kidding, but seriously, hers was one of the first blogs that I stumbled upon and went, "OH MY GOODNESS!, I want to quit my job and just start making quilts. Hers are just gorgeous, and she churns them out like you wouldn't believe. So, I was THRILLED when she agreed to participate in the interview series.
And, she has lots of great tutorials. And patterns, lots and lots of gorgeous patterns. I just purchased her Pow Wow quilt pattern, and can't wait to make it. And, to share the fun, we are doing a little giveaway, check the bottom of the post for details.
What is the most ridiculous thing you have done in the name of quilting/sewing?
I took my 3 year old and my newborn on a day trip to a fabric shop....they were awful...I think i cried. But looking back it was pretty stupid of me to drive all that way and expect them to be good in the store!
How much time, on average, do you devote to blogging a week? Sewing/Quilting?
I do an average of 2 posts a week, so probably 2 hours a week to blogging. I sew every other night or so for a couple of hours and during the day when I have snippets of time to sneak away to my sewing room! (If you want to read more about Allison's time management, see this recent post)

If you had a magical quilting/sewing assistant, what would you delegate?
Sewing quilt tops together. I don't mind making the blocks but sewing the blocks into rows and rows together and then pressing the whole thing....barf.
What is your favorite social media tool?
I'm not social media savy despite what people think...I don't twitter or facebook and I barely know how to text. My family makes fun of me...it takes me ages to get a simple text sent.
What is your favorite type of post to read on other blogs?
Real life posts...seeing real life rooms in people's houses. I love seeing how others live.

What is your favorite sewing tool?
My sewing machine...that's a cheat answer but it is.
What is the nicest thing a reader has ever done for you?
Sent me a baby gift....I got a few in the mail and I might have cried.
What is your fabric buying style?
I buy a lot of basics, polkadots, stripes, solids, etc. I need to buy more novelty and print fabrics.

How do you support your fabric buying habit?
I don't buy anything else. I'm not a clothes person and I don't really buy anything except lame stuff like food. ;) So my husband is good with me buying fabric...I'm a lucky girl.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you.
I'm a homebody....I hate leaving my house. Grocery shopping is torture and I'd way rather spend an evening doing nothing at home than go to a movie or out to dinner! Maybe it has something to do with wearing comfy pants and slippers...hmmm.

Thanks for reading the interview. Now for the giveaway details. I think it's important to support our community, so I wanted to offer a reader one of Allison's PDF patterns. I was going to purchase the pattern, and email it to the winner, but wanted to check with Allison first so I didn't violate any copyright laws in doing so (being an attorney an all), and she so generously offered to giveaway THREE (3) PDF patterns!!!! Wow, so sweet and generous. So, three lucky winners will win a Cluck Cluck Sew PDF pattern of their choice!
