Sew, What Should I Do With This?

Purchased my very first Fat Quarter Bundle from Fresh Squeezed Fabrics. Can't remember how I found them, but I saw this and HAD to have it. Sew, now what should I do with it? It is 8 fat quarters, so 2 yards. Anyone have any cool, beginner quilt projects that they think would be good inspiration - especially if they come with a tutorial?

  1. Crafty.com has a free Block of the Month lesson... You could use it there, learn new skills and have a completed lap quilt for Christmas. :-)

  2. I have a two yard quilt pattern but I don't think it would work with fat quarters. There are a lot of fat quarter quilt patterns on line and several new books out. Wish I had that bundle. It looks awesome.

  3. Since you're new to the whole quilting thing, I would recommend the Sew.Happy.Geek Quilt Along. I'm doing it so I can practice new ways to make different blocks. You can check it out here: http://sewhappygeek.co.uk/index.php/sewhappyquilt/

  4. I am a sucker for an easy peasy patchwork quilt. The first one I ever made was the Ollalieberry Quilt from http://rosylittlethings.typepad.com/. I have since made another, and I'll make more of them in the future!
